Skipper Ghana - completes supply of 6 no. of 26 mva 33/11.5 power transformers for ECG Ghana . This was very presigious order for us .
Design Manufacturing has been done to meet all requirement of specification , framed by ECG Ghana . All required type test like tempreture rise , impulse test have been successfully passed .
Transport of transformers is made with shock record which reveals the condition of job experienced during transit which is one of the acceptance criteria of the transformers to put into sevice condition . |

Skipper nigeria completes D-3 projects for 1000 metering cubicles . Metering Projects funded by World Bank ( 11 kV and 33 kV showing CT/PTs and three phase four wire electronic energy meters ) . Projects IC-7 & D3 duly operational for 2000 metering units in Nigeria .
The Metering Units manufactured by the company are performing successfully accross the globe in widely varying ambient condition are pilferage proof .
Metering cubicles are supplied for three phase three wire or three phase four wire metering . Unit is divided in two compartments; upper one for housing the meter and lower one for high voltage current and voltage transformers . The chambers are so designed to make them dust and vermin proof and pilfer resistant . Generally utility engineers will access the meter for recording purpose with rs 232 port for data communication . This devision provides safety to the engineers under such conditions . |
Skipper India completes Reactive Power Compensation- January , 2010
Skipper India completes the supply of 36 nos of 20 MVAR Reactive Power compensation . Out of which more that 20 units have been installed and 12 commissioned by Skipper Nigeria .
These innovatively designed Capacitor Banks will provide 20% to 30% saving in power by Reactive Power Compensation. These units can be moved from one place to another as per the requirement with negligible dismantling and can also be mounted on trailers within a short time.
 Each 10 MVAR unit consists of Switching module, Capacitor module and L V Control module. Each Capacitor bank consists of 36 nos 448KVAR rated poly propylene capacitors and 3 nos., 237.24 KVAR, Dry type epoxy resin impregnated Series Reactors. The switching module is having 33 KV, VCB, CTs, VTs, and Las (for protection against lightning surges) The LV control module is having Relay & Control Panel, 110 volt battery, battery charger, AC & DC Distribution Boards.
The complete system has been designed, protected and assembled by state of the art protective relays which provide protection against short circuit, over current, earth faults, over voltage, under voltage and capacitor unbalance voltage. The designs were approved by M/s Tractabel, Belgium and each lot is being witnessed for critical test and inspected before dispatch clearance by M/s Tractabel.

Skipper India - nears completion of 21 substation project for DHBVN in Haryana State .
Skpipper India EPC division Team has almost accomplished additional and augmentation work of 21 Nos. 33KV substation work under the Jurisdiction of DHBVN ( Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam Limited), Hisar in which 90% of the substation equipments installed are manufactured inhouse at our own Bhiwadi plant.
The high quality products and workmenship is widely appreciated by the department.The credit of which goes to our automated manufacturing plant, Highly expert manufacturing staff and experienced qualified strong field force . |
Skipper Participation in Elecrama- January , 2010
Skipper took part in Elecrama 2010 from 20-24th January at Bombay Exhibition Complex , Mumbai , India . It is the worlds largest exhibition of Power T& D .This exhibition offers the international energy and electricity producing and supplying industry an attractive and successful market platform, with guaranteed customer contact. ELECRAMA 2010 is being organized by Indian Electrical and Electronics Manufacturers Association (IEEMA).

Skippers Nigeria Participation in Namaskar Africa- January , 2010
Skipper participated in " Namaskar Africa Conclave-2010" in Lagos as a Platinum Sponsorer organised by FICCI.
 NAMASKAR AFRICA an Indian business expedition to Africa. It presented a unique opportunity to the Indian companies to make their presence felt in Nigeria and the West African countries by showcasing themselves in the exclusive exhibition and also by networking with the Whos Who of Nigeria and West Africa at the business forum. This initiative, organized by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), the apex business chamber of India with due support from Ministry of Commerce, Government of India was also supported by the ECOWAS and the various Chambers of Commerce of Nigeria and the West African countries.
The event invited participation from policy makers, procurement agencies and private sector players from Nigeria and the West African countries.
